Region still waiting for the boost to tourism
The expected increase in tourism in the South West because of the recession has not yet begun.
A bullish Malcolm Bell indicated there were some early bookings for summer, but the region need to attract tourists for spring and autumn too.
It was hoped that the value of the pound and job uncertainty would mean peopled took their holidays in the UK
