Teignmouth Traders raise fears over business rates rise
Fears over an increase in business rates has hit Teignmouth traders who have already contacted the Teignmouth councillor Vince Fusco and are set to take the matter to their MP Richard Younger-Ross.
A five per cent rise in business rates would make hard times hard, claims the towns’ trader’s association.
Paul Nicks, of Nixies Footwear and membership secretary of Teignmouth Traders’ Association said: “The Government talk about getting people back into work at this time but they are making life more difficult for the ones who are trying to do their best for their communities.”
