Big Tidy Up comes to Teignbridge, starting in Newton Abbot

Teignbridge District Council is staging a series of major litter picks as part of a national clean-up campaign. (From a press release)

Keep Britain Tidy is launching its “Big Tidy Up” on Thursday September, 10.

Teignbridge District Council is one of 11 special Tidy Up Champions nationwide who will stage at least 15 clean-ups in the area.

The first tidy-up takes place around Newton Abbot Town Quay and the Aller Brook Local Nature Reserve. Staff from the across the council will be taking part, with some going the extra mile by kayaking along the banks of the River Teign to rid the banks of litter.
