Community litter picks in Teignbridge have cleared 56 bags of rubbish from public land, less than two weeks after Teignbridge Council launched its Big Tidy Up campaign with Keep Britain Tidy. (From a press release)
The council is one of only 11 authorities in the country to be named as a Tidy Champion by Keep Britain Tidy, and supported by funding from the organisation is undertaking community litter picks and advertising from September 2009 – March 2010.
