Local government reorganisation should be ‘dead and buried’ says MP Streeter

Plans for local government re-organisation have been called ‘a waste of time and money’ and ‘a colossal distraction by South West Devon MP Gary Streeter, who called for the plans to be ‘dead and buried’.

The reorganisation plans for Devon have been delayed as a legal challenge in Norfolk goes through, which may have ramifications for Devon.

The Conservatives have said they will scrap the plans if they win the next General Election.
