Graham Watson to take a Christmas walkabout in Tavistock
Residents of Tavistock should expect a visit from their Lib Dem Euro-MP Graham Watson on Saturday, December 11, delivering his own special Christmas gift to the town – an update from Europe and a chance to feedback to Brussels.
Graham is due to address the Torridge and West Devon Lib Dem Christmas dinner in the evening, but will first visit Tavistock as part of his My Europe campaign, which aims to keep ordinary people in touch with the EU.
Graham told the Devon Week: “There are many ways I keep in touch with my five million constituents – from public meetings to my weekly emailed newsletter. But sometimes the best way is to simply get my walking boots on and go door-to-door. I wouldn’t go as far to say that I am delivering Christmas presents, but I hope it gives people a good idea what the EU and their MEP can do for them.”
