Exeter Red Coat guided tours enjoy bumper September
The free guided walking tours, provided by Exeter’s Red Coat Guides, saw a busy September, with just over 1,800 visitors and residents joining the daily tours. This was an increase of 13% compared to the same month in 2010.
The reason for this increase included a late spell of good weather and a general increase in visitors to the city.
Exeter’s other attractions also saw an increase in visitor numbers in September. Visitors to Exeter’s Underground Passages increased by 16% and the Quay House Visitor Centre saw a 7% increase in visitors, compared to the same month last year.
Red Coat Guided Tours run daily throughout the year (except 25 & 26 December) and are free.
