New Devon millionaire after Premium Bond win
A woman living in Devon has bagged the Premium Bond’s top £1m prize for May.
In Devon there are 495,435 Premium Bonds holdings worth more than £1.1 billion.
Across the UK there are over 806,000 unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes worth more than £42 million. In Devon in particular over 11,500 prizes worth more than £583,000 still remain unclaimed. There is a woman from the region who is still due to receive £5,000 after failing to claim her prize in a previous draw. She has only £200 invested in Premium Bonds and the prize was won in July 2007.
There are a number of other unclaimed prizes due to the residents of Devon, the oldest of these outstanding prizes having been drawn in February 1965. Premium Bonds holders can reduce the chances of their prizes becoming unclaimed by opting to have any prizes paid directly into their bank accounts by BACS, with notification by email. To sign up holders should visit: http://www.nsandi.com/register-our-online-service?ccd=NQPPAA
There is no time limit for claiming prizes. Premium Bonds investors can check to see if they have won by visiting nsandi.com and using the Premium Bonds prize checker on the homepage
