Exeter’s Westpoint Arena to host UCAS convention for prospective students
Students from Devon thinking of applying to university or college can find out more about higher education and the process of applying at Westpoint Arena’s upcoming UCAS convention.
The event on March 19 and 20 is an opportunity for Year 12 students to research more about their future and the options available.
Schools will be taking their students to the event open between 9.30am and 3pm on Wednesday, March 19, and between 9.30am and 2pm on Thursday, March 20. But anyone not registered via their school, can do so themselves.
As well as universities, colleges, gap year providers and many other organisations, UCAS will be offering advice on the application process.
Steve Jeffree, UCAS chief operating officer said: “UCAS conventions are an ideal place for students to get a feel for what university life is about. In fact you can ask the experts about all the options out there for you after finishing school.
“I hope as many young people as possible take this opportunity to come to the Westpoint Arena and see what their future could look like.”
Students can find more about getting the most out of visiting a convention by logging on to www.ucas.com/prep. UCAS organises over 50 conventions around the UK each year, and they are free to attend.
