My Country Business Awards calls for countryside entrepreneurs
In February 2014, Country Homes & Interiors Magazine published a My Country Business feature on Devon-based interior designer Holly Keeling, in advance of launching its 2014 My Country Business Awards.
Based in an 18th show barn in Denbury, Holly’s HQ is an Aladdin’s cave of treasures. Housed inside are a broad range of furnishings and original finds, plus fabric swatches, paint charts and moodboards. Having gone from strength to strength, Holly’s clients include everyone from busy mums on a budget to period property owners looking to refurbish their homes.
As part of the successful My Country Business series, Country Homes & Interiors has now launched its fifth annual awards and is searching for winners in six categories: Interiors; Food; Craft; Fashion & Beauty; Retail & Services and Hospitality & Leisure.
A team of leading industry business advisors and partners is working on the awards with Country Homes & Interiors. These partners are Vanessa Arbuthnott for the Interiors category, Etsy for the Craft category, Yeo Valley for Food, Sawday’s for Hospitality & Leisure, Kilver Court Designer Village for Retail & Services, and Barbour for the Fashion & Beauty category.
These experts, along with Medeia Cohan-Petrolino, creative director of School for Creative Startups, and Rhoda Parry, editor of Country Homes & Interiors, will form a panel of awards judges.
Each category winner will receive a money-can’t-buy package of advice and assistance for their business, including three mentoring sessions with one of the expert awards judges, a place on former Dragon Doug Richard’s School for Creative Startups three-day bootcamp, as well as a one-month membership to the School for Startups’ online community and a prize to the value of £150 supplied by one of the awards partners.
