Feast your senses at Rosemoor’s Rose Weekend
Rose Weekend will return to RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon, as a spectacular celebration of the nation’s favourite blooms. With more than 2,000 roses, the garden will be bursting with colour and scent to create a perfect summer day out.
Throughout Rose Weekend there will be a guided walks, advice and talks. A rose-themed market with stalls will sell crafts, foods, roses and other products associated with this quintessentially English garden flower.
Phillip Scott, RHS Garden Rosemoor’s own rose expert, will be on hand to identify roses brought in by visitors from their own gardens. The Reading Room will also be open to help put a name to any unknown cultivars. For those looking for new roses to take home, the Plant Centre team will advise and assist in finding the perfect selection.
Boasting one of the largest collections of roses in the West Country, RHS Garden Rosemoor is home to two dedicated rose gardens, bringing together 200 different cultivars and a wealth of colours and perfumes. Floribunda and Large-flowered (Hybrid Tea) roses mix with climbers to clothe arches and obelisks in the modern setting of the Queen Mother’s Rose Garden, while the Shrub Rose Garden mixes old-fashioned and traditional favourites.
Guaranteed to be a weekend of scent-sational delights!
Rose Weekend takes place from 20 – 21 June. For more information on RHS Garden Rosemoor visit www.rhs.org.uk/rosemoor
