Hippychick chooses Children’s Hospice South West as its charity of the year
Bridgwater-based Hippychick, the multi-award winning nursery accessories supplier and retailer, has announced today that it will make Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) its Charity of the Year 2015/2016 which will also coincide with CHSW’s 25th anniversary celebrations in 2016.
Several fund raising initiatives will be implemented over the duration. These will include sponsorship of various CHSW events, a percentage of the profits raised from sales of Hippychick Wheelybugs in the run up to Christmas as well as Hippychick staff getting actively involved in raising funds through their own initiatives.
Julia Minchin, founder and managing director of Hippychick is delighted to be working with CHSW.
‘Charities have always played a big role in Hippychick’s history and over the years we have raised much needed funds for various child-related causes,’ she said.
‘We are all familiar with CHSW, and aware of the fantastic work it does for local families. The initiative is a great motivator and we are all keen to raise as much as we can for a very special cause.’
Following a recent, successful association with Make-A-Wish, Julia is looking forward to working with CHSW over the next 12 months.
