Dawlish beach fails water quality tests – people advised not to go into the water until further notice
Dawlish beach has failed ) failed a routine Environment Agency test to ensure mandatory standards of water quality for swimming, this is the first instance of a failure at this beach this season. Signage will be placed on the beach area advising members of the public not to go into the water until further notice
Dawlish has become one of the first communities in the country to be given radical new powers to help residents play a greater role in determining the future of their town.
Coinciding with the launch of two new plastic collection banks in the town at Barton Hill and Sandy Lane, Dawlish, Teignbridge council’s recycling team will be in the town giving advice on how best to recycle general household plastic waste, as well as information on plastic litter and pollution.
