Encore for Exeter Decides as community groups vie for funding

Exeter Decides, where the Exeter publish has the say on which community projects get funding, is being rolled out again after its successful first outing. Among the applications this time are: a rock music school; proposed improvements to community centres; football for girls; drama and singing groups; pantomime; and green homes and environmental activities.

Arabia through the eyes of a princess: photographic exhibition at Exeter University

A collection of historic photographs that chronicle the journey across the deserts and cities of Saudi Arabia by Princess Alice, the youngest granddaughter of Queen Victoria, are on display at Exeter University. The exhibition is at the University’s Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies to Saturday, August 14 and coincides with the annual Gulf Studies conference.
