Hotels being scrapped in favour of children’s play centres – civic responsibility or a sign of the economic times?
The long-running and often contentious plans for the regeneration of Exeter’s historic Canal Basin have changed track, although Homebrick Ltd, which owns the old electricity building has denied these changes have anything to do with the Credit Crunch.
Plans now revolve around the Bear Feet children’s play group, which is already running a successful family entertainment centre in Newton Abbot.
