Garden waste composting could be extended to 24,000 more households in Plymouth.
Funds for the scheme would come from £100,000 available to support recycingling in 2009/10 and there’s a slice of the £95 million PFI credits available to Plymouth City Council for its part in the South West Devon Waste Partnership for a waste incinerator, as long as the council increases recycling and composting.
