Could it be a metaphor for the goings on in the Torbay tourist circles? The Torbay Palms, which Torbay Council has described as ‘low quality’ have been cleared from the Victoria Parade beds in the the town.
There has been some varied opinion about the change to the horticulture: the area will be grassed with some flowerbeds until more permanent planting is carried out in autumn.
Ward councillor Robert Excell told the Herald Express: “I was told they were going to thin it out, but to do what they have done is unforgivable.”
