The official opening of Crediton Skate Park takes place on Saturday, October 3 at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton. (From a press release).
To mark the occasion Mid-Devon District Council is holding a Skate Jam – an open competition for skateboards, Inline and BMX – from 1pm. Registration for the competition will be from noon on the day.
Participants under the age of 18 will need to bring a signed parental consent form to register – these can be found on reception at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre. All participants are required to wear a helmet. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. In addition to the Skate Jam, there will be lots to see and do at the park, from street dancing to street art produced by young people! All are welcome to attend the official opening which will be performed by District and Town Councillor David Nation and Joe Gurney from Crediton Wheels.
