A new Devon Wildlife Trust Wildlife Watch group has been set up for children aged between 8 and 12 in the Torbryan, Ipplepen, Denbury and Broadhempston areas of South Devon.
Any family from the region can attend the group’s first meeting at Ipplepen Primary School on Saturday, October 17. The event will start at 9.45am and run through until just after noon.
The morning will be a chance to meet Bailey the barn owl, from the Barn Owl Trust, and find out what these creatures eat for their dinners.
It will also be an opportunity for people to hear about the plans for the new group, one of 12 around Devon, which aims to encourage children to learn more about wildlife.
For more information about the event, call Devon Wildlife Trust on 01392 279244. The first meeting is free but donations towards costs are welcome.
