Tiverton’s areas of Kennedy Way, Park Hill, Mountbatten Way and Bolham Road have been designated as a Clean Zone for the week starting Saturday, October 17.
Clean Zone campaigns encourage the community to be more aware of, and be proud of, their environment.
Tiverton Volunteer Litter Pickers will be out in force on the weekend of October 17/18. The council will clear the litter collected and, during the following week, will clear any reported fly-tipping. Businesses, youth groups and sporting facilities are also being asked to join in by forming groups to litter pick their area.Enforcement Officers will then patrol the area to ensure that the streets remain clean.
For more information or to get involved in a litter pick for your area, contact Gary Pilling or Julia Stuckey on 01884 233100 or email jstuckey@middevon.gov.uk
