As part of its cost-cutting measure, the new Conservative administration at Devon County Council has vowed to cut overseas travel after they revealed the previous Lib Dem incumbents spent £45,231 on it between 2005/06 and 2008/09, according to the Conservativehome blog.
It says council leader Cllr John Hart has a review is taking place on the council’s involvement with European and other international bodies.
