Teignmouth residents and visitors have the opportunity to see plans for a new skatepark in the town at a special exhibition on Saturday, November 7.
Plans for a skate facility on the site of the former seafront paddling pool will go on show at Tomorrow’s Teignmouth Information Centre (4-5 Northumberland Place, Teignmouth) between 10am-2pm on Saturday, November.
Community organisation Teignskate, which has been working on the plans with Teignbridge Council, is keen for local people and visitors to stop by and provide feedback on the designs.
Teignmouth skaters have been hoping for a proper skate facility for some time, and the paddling pool site was identified as part of a public consultation during the development of the golf facility.
The project has also won the backing of local BMX and skateboarding role model Kye Forte, a former BMX dirt jumping world champion who was instrumental in the provision of the highly successful extreme sports facility at Decoy Country Park in Newton Abbot.
