Plymouth City Council is looking to make use of a £561,500 interest-free loan from the government for energy efficient projects, which will save money in the long term.
According to thisisplymouth, the projects are set to include improvements to buildings, IT power management, schools kitchens and lighting, including installing time switches in council properties, which would save £129,180 and 778 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.
