Sparkwell Village Hall will hold a public meeting on the renewal of mining at the Hemerdon tungsten mine. The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 12 at 7pm.
Representatives from Devon County Council and the Environment Agency will be joined by owners Wolf Minerals.
According to South West Businesses, permission to mine in the area was granted in 1986 and Devon County Council would now like to modify some of the conditions of this permission and to improve the final restoration of the site to increase the amount of heathland to promote wildlife.
