Trago Mills, Sibelco and Arnold White Estates are set to come to loggerheads over the redevelopment of the former ‘Little Poland’ at Ilford Park, Newton Abbot.
Arnold White Estates, which helps mining firm Sibelco make the most of its land holdings, has planning permission for a service station, pub, budget hotel and 300-pitch caravan park on the site, but has changed its mind, preferring ‘ a sustainable settlement’.
Trago Mills boss Bruce Robertson, who was a partner in the original bid, isn’t happy, claiming that the new proposals would hinder people getting to his store.
Teignbridge Council will consider the new plans for 450 homes, retail and employment units plus a biomass power station on Monday, December 21.
