Some schools are still closed, three days after the main snowfall in South Devon, but one school in Newton Abbot stayed open.
Bearne’s Voluntary Primary School, in Newton Abbot, was the only school in the town to be open on Wednesday, January 6, amid the freezing weather and snowfall.
All the staff, even one from Brixham, and more than half of the pupils had made it in.
