The traditional Pancake Race is alive and well in Teignbridge, forming a part of the area’s half-term activities for children and young people.
From Monday February 15 to Friday February 19 there will be a huge range of activities for all ages across Teignbridge leisure centres, including traditional pancake races on Tuesday 16 February at both Newton Abbot and Dawlish Leisure Centres.
Meanwhile both of these centres will be offering a daily Holiday Club from 9am-4pm. The fully supervised days include swimming, sporting activities, team building challenges, bouncy castle, giant games, arts and crafts and much more. An extended day is also available from 8am-5pm for those parents who may need some extra time in the day. The Holiday Club is suitable for children aged between 3-14 (Newton Abbot) or 4 -14 (Dawlish).
The half term will also see the return of Teignbridge’s Sports Development Camps for youngsters aged six or over, who can look forward to improving their skills and getting top tips from sporting coaches. rampolining will be available at Newton Abbot, Dawlish, and Ashmoor (Ashburton), and the latter also offers a Basketball camp. Meanwhile, Broadmeadow in Teignmouth will be running a Squash Sports Camp on Thursday, February 18, followed by a special Footy Fun Day for 5-12 year olds on Friday, February 19, jam packed with football action, games, quizzes and skill & technique coaching. Another highlight is Pool Kayaking on Thursday February, 18 at Dawlish Leisure Centre, suitable for ages 8+.
