The future of Devon’s waste will be in the hands of 80 students during the eighth Don’t Let Devon Go to Waste summit on Tuesday, March 23.
Young people from eight secondary schools across Devon have been invited to attend the event at County Hall in Exeter to tackle the issues surrounding the area’s rubbish.
The full day of workshops will include group discussions about the future if we don’t Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our waste, learning how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle and producing a radio advert to promote the 3Rs to Devon residents.
There will also be presentations from Devon Wildlife Trust on litter and our countryside as well as the opportunity for pupils to take part in an ‘electronic’ debate in the council chamber.
