A litter hotspot in Teignmouth has been given a clean sweep by Teignbridge District Council, transforming a stretch of land adjacent to Bitton Brook.
The cleaning blitz was arranged following complaints about the state of the area, which had become a target for fly-tippers and litter louts who had dumped everything from trolleys to a bicycle to bags of rubbish.
The Council has written to local people asking them to keep a keen eye on the land and report any littering or fly-tipping. It is hoped that by involving the local community everyone can work together to prevent the area deteriorating again.
