Families can enjoy a variety of activities at St Nicholas Priory this October half term. Find out about Elizabethan life during the two free Saturday Tudor days or join in with our drop in sessions, October 27-29, organised as part of Exeter Children’s Literature Festival.
Elizabethan Daily Life

Meet local experts and find out about daily life in the Priory at the time of Queen Elizabeth I. Find out how to play the game of Alquerque and make and decorate your own board in Tudor style. Come back next Saturday and show us your designs and join in our Alquerque knockout competition. All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Very New Exeter Riddles
Wednesday, October 27, 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 3.30pm, standard admission charges apply, drop in.

There are some riddles that are a thousand years old (Anglo Saxon) and some that are much more recent. Have a go at writing your own and experiment with other word games and picture poetry. Part of the Exeter Children’s Literature Festival.
