Exeter residents will be able to go down the city’s famous Underground Passages for half-price throughout December and most of January.
All the city’s post codes from EX1 to EX4 will be eligible for this special offer and proof of address will be required on entry. The offer ends on Sunday, January 23.
Guided tours have taken place at the Passages since the 1930s. Today, the visitor experience is very different, with an interpretation centre packed full of interactive displays. There’s a talking figure of a medieval man, a high-speed video fly-through the Passages, a full scale model of a section of the Passages, a film presentation and a guided tour of the Passages themselves.
Located on Paris Street, the Passages are open daily except Mondays and will be closed for Christmas from December 24 to 27 and on January 1. The Exeter residents’ half-price special offer cannot to be used in conjunction with any other offer and doesn’t include group visits of 10 or more people.
Children under the age of five are not permitted on tours of the Passages and wheelchair and pushchair access is restricted to the exhibition only. During the Christmas school holidays, it is advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment. For conditions of access, opening times and prices call 01392 665887 or visit the Exeter Passages website.
