Royal Oak now lead top the A league standings in the Mid-Devon Darts League after a 7-0 destruction of Swan Inn. There stay at the top will be temporary as the next two weeks they have no game but previous leaders British Legion have two. Teign Village pushed aside the challenge of Kings Arms (K’ton) gaining a 6-1 win.
Dewdrop Inn and Park Inn B also recorded wins. Wellington Inn got back to winning ways this week and as a bonus have gone back to the top spot in the B league. The Wellie boys put the boot into Golden Lion A winning 5-2 – previous leaders Globe B (BFL) went down to Locomotive Foxes 3-4. Globe A (Chud) gained their fifth win on the trot to keep in touch with the leading teams – they beat White Hart A 5-2. Wolborough Inn A are also going well with four wins on the bounce – this week they beat Sun Inn 5-2. Union Inn A came away from The Tec with a 4-3 win. The final match in the division featured the bottom two teams with Lord Nelson edging a 4-3 win over Union Inn C.
The top three teams in the C league all won their matches and are pulling away from the rest. Wolborough Inn B found bottom team Exeter Inn A a tough nut to crack gaining a 7-5 win. The Corner Flag came away from Teign House B with a 9-3 success to move into joint second with Highweek Family SC who beat Ten Tors 7-5. RBL Red Arrows moved into fourth after beating Saracens Head 9-3. Abbrook Park drew with Globe B (Chud).
The fun of the D league carries on as two of the top teams came away second best in their matches. Victoria Inn remain on top halting the Railways title challenge wth an 8-4 win. Newtons stay in second after beating Ship (Chudleigh) 7-5 but have been joined by Court Farm who stop the Silent Whistle in their tracks 10-2. Cider Bar and 76 Club A won their matches 7-5. Palk Arms drew with Tradesmans Arms A.
De-Traceys gained their second full house on the bounce to open up a big lead at the top of the E league. Their victims this week where bottom of the pile Exeter Inn B. Union Inn B lost ground on the leaders after a 5-7 defeat against Park Inn A. Keyberry’s draw with White Hart B kept them in fourth place. Globe C (Chudleigh) beat Greene Man 7-5 to record their second win of the season>
Bell Inn (Bovey) keep the pace high at the top of the F league after beating Tradesmans Arms B 7-5. Sandygate Inn where beaten 7-5 by 76 Club B and with RBL (K’ton) winning at Ipplepen FC 8-4 the battle for second place is hotting up. Ashburton Con Club still hold the bragging rights for best team in St Lawrence Lane (Ashburton) as they beat Silent Whistle 8-4.
