The third of Plymouth’s children’s poetry anthology, Plymouth: Tor to Shore has been launched.
The annually collated poetry selection is the culmination of a round of literacy-based events for Plymouth children organised by the Lifelong Learning Team in the Council’s Services for Children and Young People and supported by public libraries across the city.
As part of the day, Nick Arnold, award-winning author of the Horrible Science children’s books, will be on hand to entertain guests with a gruesome reading session.
Also taking part in the day by performing for guests will be the council’s youth music service guitar ensemble and Montpelier School Boys’ Choir.
Copies of the Plymouth anthology will be sent to all Plymouth schools and libraries for everyone to enjoy and extra copies will be on sale at the launch event for family and friends of the young authors.
