TV chef Ed Baines is on the hunt for cooking enthusiasts to become a Local Philly Hero – you could represent your region by creating your own recipe for Philadelphia cream cheeese.
All you need to do is submit your own quick and easy recipe featuring any of the Philly varieties as a main ingredient. They are on the look out for dishes that carry a real flavour of the UK – from local ingredients, landmarks, events or even personalities, the cheesy people want recipes which represent your home area.
If you are chosen to be one of Philly’s 10 local heroes you could feature in Philadelphia TV ads, billboard posters, the Philly website and even on the packs… and you’d be in with the chance of a cash reward of £1,000.
Ed said: “Philadelphia is so versatile, it can transform everyday ingredients into mouth-watering dishes the whole family will love. I have created some delicious recipes but now we are giving Philly fans the chance to put themselves and their local area in the spotlight with their very own recipe.”
Visit the Local Philly Hero for more information – the closing date for applications is Monday, January 24.
