The Coalition Government has announced Local Government Allocations for the next financial year. Torbay will receive a cut of 3.44 per cent in its spending power.
Torbay MP Adrian Sanders told the Devon Week: “Torbay has received significantly higher than inflation rises over the past four years, the lowest being 5 per cent last year.
“Even so, a cut at this time is never welcome but as the council was preparing for a 25 per cent cut, the 3.44 per cent should be more welcome than what many other councils are having to deal with.”
