There will be a drop-in consultation event about Brixham’s green spaces, held in the Scala Hall, Brixham, with representatives from the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust and the Brixham Town Plan Steering Group will be on hand with maps and plans, on Wednesday, January 19, 2pm to 7pm.
Robin Toogood of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty told the Devon Week: “We all want to make sure these special areas of ‘green space’ in and around the town are looked after in future and provide opportunities for the community to enjoy.”
The findings will feed in to a number of plans including a new green infrastructure plan for Torbay, a study of the Brixham countryside fringe, and the Brixham Town Plan.
Cate McIvor of Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust said: “The Bay has a stunning natural environment that offers so many benefits to the local community and as part of our consultation work on the emerging Torbay Green Infrastructure Delivery Plan we would welcome people’s thoughts.”
