Mid Devon residents are encouraged to join the new Citizens Panel being set up by the council so that local people can comment on our services.
The council si looking to encourage as wide a cross-section of Mid Devon residents as possible to sit on the panel – from young people interested in local politics, to our more senior residents – so that it is truly representative of Mid Devon’s profile.
Residents volunteer for three years, during which time we will send out a range of questionnaires (three per year) on a whole host of topics: for exmaple, how the council is doing recycling; what you think about the number of affordable housing units that are available; whether there are enough open play areas and if they are properly maintained; whether the leisure centres are providing good value for money.
You can register online or phone 01884 234276 for a paper copy, or ask at one of the Customer First receptions. Over the next few weeks, the council will also be contacting Mid Devon households by telephone, inviting them to join the panel. The closing date for registration is Friday, February 4/
