Dawlish will launch a project to support unemployed people get back to work.
The Work Club is a new weekly event aimed at helping out of work residents get back into employment, and support those looking for their first job. It will take place every Wednesday morning between 10am and noon from Wednesday, February 16.
The two-hour session – run in partnership with Dawlish Rotary Club, Next Steps training and Job Centre Plus – will include advice on CV writing, interview techniques, volunteering opportunities and assistance with online application forms, as well as providing computer access in order to search for vacancies and basic IT skills. It will also give job hunters the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts and share experiences.
