A number of bus services have been reprieved from Devon County Council’s cuts.
With some services being registered commercially, such as the Service 111 covering Dartmouth, Totnes and Paignton, Devon County Council has been able to re-assess its spending for the coming financial year.
Journeys which will now be retained are:
The 18:15 journey from Exeter on the 359 Moretonhampstead to Exeter service;
The 18:59 from Barnstaple and the 06:50 and 18:38 from Lynton on the 310 Lynton to Barnstaple service;
The 06:09 from Hatherleigh and the 06:46 from Lydford on the 118 Hatherleigh/Lydford/Tavistock.
Proposals to cut services which have operated to provide transport for school pupils not entitled to use school transport are going ahead as planned. The county council has contacted schools to offer help in setting up alternative contracts if they want to make their own transport arrangements from April.
