The NSPCC is daring adrenaline junkies in Devon to take on a sponsored skydive this summer to help raise funds for the children’s charity.
Solo or tandem jumps are available year-round and anyone over the age of 16 and in good health can jump from one of 20 different sites across the UK, including Honiton.
Donna Statham, NSPCC’s community fundraising manager for Devon said: “We are encouraging as many people as possible to take part in this exciting initiative and do their bit to help.
“By raising sponsorship, your skydive will help the NSPCC in Devon carry on its vital work with children and young people. This includes supporting children and families through local services as well as providing vital funding to develop our national helplines – ChildLine for young people and the NSPCC Helpline for concerned adults – so that we can be there whenever and wherever children need us.
“A charity skydive is ideal for individual thrill-seekers looking to test their nerve, or for groups of friends, family and even colleagues as a corporate team-building challenge. Everyone who signs up will receive full training from a qualified instructor, fundraising support, a range of fantastic materials and a certificate upon completion of their jump.”
No experience is necessary, and your training and jump are free if you raise a minimum sponsorship of £395.
