The Royal Terrace Gardens restoration project in Torquay has been considered among the best in the west. It was selected as a finalist in the Community Benefit section from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) South West Awards 2011.
Judges were looking for projects that have a strong interaction with the community throughout the process from start to finish. They are also judged on feedback from the community, how it enhanced the local landscape/streetscape and the variety of people in the community that benefit from the project.
