Where there’s scrap there’s a fabulous creative resource, which is where the Holsworthy Family Workshop and Resource Centre comes in.
The not-for-profit organisation’s aims includes providing resources for voluntary groups and families, particularly those working with children and those who are rurally isolated. And to provide social and educational opportunities in an informal setting.
The organisation provides a scrapstore, family workshops, arts and craft supply and has a workshop programme.
It’s always in need of re-useable materials from businesses within a 30-mile radius, and is on the lookout for volunteers in the resource centre itself, helping to source scrap, or assessing and supporting its fundraising activities.
Membership starts at £6 for six months for individuals and families, and £12 for six months for groups.
The Opening times are Mondays and Wednesday 9.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday 9.30am -12.30pm.
