On Sunday, May 20 2012, over 7,000 people lined the streets of Shaldon and Teignmouth to see the Olympic Torch’s historic crossing of the Teign Estuary on only its second day on British soil.
Teingmouth’s hometown heroes Muse were surprise guest Torchbearers on the day, delighting the crowds. They’ve since been confirmed as providing the official theme for the Games, the song Survival from their forthcoming album The 2nd Law.
