A spook-tacular range of events are taking place across Teignbridge’s leisure centres, nature reserves, green spaces and parks during October’s ‘horror half term activities’ programme.
From Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November there will be a huge range of activities for all ages across Teignbridge, from fang-tastic outdoor pursuits to devilishly delightful discos.
There will be events like trampolining, soccer schools, swimming pool fun sessions diver courses, activity trails, bat box making, lantern making and more. Many will have a Halloween theme – so wear fancy dress if you dare!
Teignbridge District Council-owned leisure centres – Newton Abbot, Dawlish and Broadmeadow – will be holding events and Teignbridge children aged between 8 and 16 can play at Shaldon Golf Course for just £1 during half term. The centres are hosting activity days for different age groups with each including swimming, sports challenges, games, arts and crafts and batty extras like Halloween biscuit decorating or a creepy creative arts drama class.
Teignbridge’s Green Spaces team have lined up a programme of activities at some of the districts best outdoor spaces including Dawlish Warren, Coombe Valley Local Nature Reserve, Green Flag winning Courtenay Park, Newton Abbot, and Homeyards Botanical Gardens, Shaldon.
Coombeshead Academy will be hosting the ever-popular Arsenal Soccer Schools on Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November. These sessions can be booked and paid for separately via the website www.playthearsenalway.com
