Thomson and First Choice are today (April 21, 2016) announcing increased capacity at Exeter airport for their summer 2017 flying programme. This includes new 10 and 11 night durations to Lanzarote as well as an additional seasonal flight to Tenerife which gives greater choice and flexibility to holidaymakers flying from the south of England.
The move to introduce new routes is part of the holiday company’s strategy to ensure customers across the UK can fly from their local airport and stay at the best hotels in some of the most exciting destinations. The new routes will go on sale today in line with the launch of summer 2017 holidays.
Customers flying on flexible breaks to Lanzarote will now have access to some of Thomson and First Choice’s most popular flagship hotels, including First Choice’s 4Sun Holiday Village Flamingo Beach where they will be able to step straight out of the pool, of which there are four, and onto the beach. The hotel also boasts an extensive entertainmentprogramme, with activities like raft building, canoeing and archery all on the agenda.
The additional seasonal flight to Tenerife will run throughout October. Those travelling to Tenerife can visit the SensimarArona Gran & Spa which boasts beautiful views looking out onto the harbour. The adults only hotel has a relaxed pool scene, à la carte dining and is only a short stroll away to the centre of Los Cristianos.
Karen Switzer, director of Aviation Planning for Thomson and First Choice, said: “Adding more capacity from Exeter with the introduction of new 10 and 11 night breaks to Lanzarote and additional flight to Tenerife demonstrates our commitment to Exeter airport and the local area.
“Expanding access to our portfolio of destinations and hotels is a key part of our overall strategy and will enhance the holiday experience for our customers.”
Matt Roach, Exeter Airport’s managing director, added: “We are very pleased with this dedication to regional departures and our passengers can now look ahead to booking their summer 2017 holidays with Thomson and First Choice from Exeter.”
