Specialist bookseller Blackwell’s, which has a shop in the University of Exeter’s Great Hall Foyer, will be manning a special pop-up bookshop when Man Booker Prize-shortlisted author Hisham Matar delivers a talk at the University of Exeter on Friday, March 17.
Hisham will be talking about his memoir, “The Return”, which describes his search for his father who was abducted in Egypt by Colonel Gaddafi and held in the Abu Salim prison in Tripoli, Libya.
It was a finalist in last year’s Costa Book of the Year Award. Hisham Matar will be signing copies of the book at Blackwell’s after the event.
The event, which is open to the public, takes place at 6.30pm on Friday, March 17, in the University’s Queen’s Building. For more information about eh event, pop over to the Exeter Uni site.
