A National Trust shop will be popping-up in Dartmouth marketplace once a month with a range of goodies to tempt market-goers. The shop will be joining the National Trust offsite van which regularly attends the market to promote the National Trust places in the English Riviera and the benefits of National Trust membership.
On the first Friday of the month you’ll be able to browse through National Trust preserves and biscuits, guidebooks, kitchen and home wares, safe in the knowledge that every penny you spend helps to look after the special places that the National Trust cares for.
Jacquie Atkinson, retail manager for the National Trust English Riviera, said: “I am hoping that the shop will evolve as we find out if it works and what the customers would like to see for sale.
“It would be great if the locals can give us feedback on what they would like. I’m looking at the possibility of a request system whereby, if someone would like something specific, we can get it for them for pick up from the offsite van the following week.”
The pop-up National Trust shop will be at Dartmouth market on Friday 7 April, 5 May, 2 June, 7 July, 4 August, 1 September, and 6 October.
