Members of ABP’s team at the Port of Teignmouth took part in a charity Tug of War event to raise funds for the global charity Oxfam.
ABP were joined by a crew from the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service, who also supported the event, raising a total of £300 for charity. Crowds of families and friends also gathered at Teignmouth beach to watch the event and cheer on the competing teams.
Alex Chinchen, ABP divisional port manager, Southwest Coast, said: “The event was great fun and I would like to thank the Fire Service for their efforts. While they did win this time around we are already looking forward to having a re-match next year.
“We are pleased to have raised some funds to support Oxfam’s vital work, so they can continue saving lives worldwide. The freedom to combine activities our colleagues enjoy with a good cause is what makes ABP such a great place to work.”
