Plymouth students win at Royal Television Society Awards 2021
Two students from Plymouth College of Art have won awards at this year’s Royal Television Society Devon & Cornwall Television Awards 2021. Third years Yergalem Carimini and Sonny Layton have gained great praise for their short films, La Volpe and 1977, winning the Craft Award for Production Design and Animation, respectively.
Liberty Sisters raise funds for The Veterans Charity
The Liberty Sisters – Ruby, Rose and Dolly – are the Westcountry’s leading vintage vocal trio, specialising in the swing and jazz of the 1930s – 1950s. In particular, songs made famous by the Andrews Sisters and Dame Vera Lynn. All their music is sung in beautiful close harmony, and it is their vocal blend as well as their great stage presence which makes them so popular, writes Ray Goldsmith.
