100’s of Devon youngsters will be heading to Barnstaple next week (Weds 5th Feb) for the Ability Games, a day of friendly sporting competition. Nominations for the Devon Sports Awards close Friday, March 1 2013 and organisers Active Devon are urging clubs, coaches and fans not to miss out on what is looking to be the biggest Devon Sports Awards ceremony to date.
Some 350 young people with disabilities from across Devon descended on the Tarka Tennis in Barnstaple this week to take part in a Paralympic-style celebration of sport.
Sport clubs across the Plymouth, South Hams and West Devon area are taking up the opportunity of free support to help them cope with the increased level of demand following the greatest Olympic and Paralympic Games in history.
